The PDK81604-1SMF set comprises 600 m of single-mode fibre optic cable equipped with a full set of subsea fibre optic connectors.

The PDK81604-1SMF is a suitable solution for use with ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) and other underwater vehicles.

The cable is a double-sheath fibre optic cable, 5.0 mm in diameter, with a tensile strength above 300 kg and a density close to that of seawater. The PUR outer sheath gives the cable a smooth, durable and abrasion-resistant surface.

The connectors are designed to provide reliable fibre optic connections in the smallest connector size. Designed for subsea equipment, low insertion loss and low back reflection make the connector well suited to high-speed data and video transmission. The robust stainless steel design ensures the connector is strong and reliable, whether on a vessel deck, on a platform or when deployed at great ocean depth. The complete connector set comprises one bulkhead connector, one inline connector vulcanised to the cable, and 2 dummy connectors for protection. The long cable clamp relieves high strain and protects the connector from tensile loads.
