Tethered Drone Cables

A tethered drone stays up because the ground supplies the energy. That makes the tether the power budget: every gram per metre is a gram the aircraft has to lift, and every ohm is heat in the jacket. Constructions use silver-plated or tinned copper at small sections, FEP or PTFE insulation to survive high conductor temperature, and a fibre unit moulded into the same jacket for the data link.
