This 8-core buoyant cable is an ROV tether. It is neutrally buoyant with a breaking strength of 150 kg and incorporates water-blocking fibers to seal any leak. The cable core contains Kevlar yarns for strength and polyester yarns as space fillers. Both fiber types are impregnated with a water-blocking compound so that a nick or crack in the cable does not cause a leak.
The high-visibility yellow polyurethane foam sheath resists abrasion and provides neutral buoyancy. The cable stiffness is designed to be flexible enough to give your ROV sufficient freedom of movement, yet stiff enough not to kink easily.
