This 4-core floating cable is an ROV tether. It is neutrally buoyant, has a breaking strength of 150 kg, and incorporates water-blocking fibres to seal any breach. The cable core contains Kevlar yarns for strength and polyester yarns as space fillers. Both fibres are impregnated with a water-blocking compound to prevent any leakage through nicks or cracks in the cable.
The high-visibility yellow polyurethane foam sheath resists abrasion and provides neutral buoyancy. The cable stiffness is designed to be flexible enough to give your ROV sufficient freedom of movement, yet stiff enough not to twist easily.
