PDK81301-4×1.0+STP CAT5 Subsea Water-Blocking Cable, 12.6mm PUR

Underwater Power Cables · Marine & Subsea

Radially water-blocked CAT5e subsea cable with four 1.0mm² cores plus a shielded pair, FEP core insulation, PUR sheath, 10 MPa water pressure rating.

Supports project-specific customisation: conductor cross-section and core count, shielding type, sheath colour, length and print legend can be adapted to the operating conditions; technical parameters are subject to the specification document confirmed by both parties.

Product introduction

This CAT5 water-blocking cable is designed for high-speed subsea data transmission and harsh marine environments. It integrates an industrial CAT5e Ethernet core into a multi-layer watertight construction, using FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) as the core insulation. The cable provides radial water-blocking and suits ROVs, seabed observatories, shipboard bulkhead communication and offshore oil platforms, where reliable data transmission and a strict water seal are essential.

The cable combines good dielectric performance with tolerance of extreme environments, maintaining stable high-speed Ethernet communication under deep-sea pressure and long-term seawater immersion.

Key features – FEP insulated core

The FEP insulated CAT5 communication core provides good signal integrity, a wide operating range from -40 °C to +105 °C, negligible moisture absorption, strong chemical resistance and inherent flame retardancy in a single material.

Suitable for

Subsea robots (ROV/AUV) and underwater cameras requiring real-time video and data transmission

Submarine and shipboard Ethernet backbones with watertight bulkhead penetrations

Seabed observatories and ocean monitoring networks (cabled subsea nodes)

Offshore drilling platforms and marine renewable energy systems

Military and defence underwater communication systems

Any subsea application needing reliable CAT5 Ethernet and watertight integrity without mechanical tension requirements

The cable meets both the need for high-speed data transmission (CAT5e) and a robust water seal under high hydrostatic pressure.

It is a suitable solution for marine engineering, subsea monitoring, marine research and underwater defence communications.
